Course Overview

You will learn the key skills and knowledge required to design models using Autodesk Inventor, starting with conceptual sketching, through to solid modeling, assembly design, and drawing production.

Course Objectives

After completing this course participants should be able to understand and/or create:

Understanding the Autodesk Inventor software interface
Creating, constraining, and dimensioning 2D sketches
Creating and editing the solid base 3D feature from a sketch
Creating and editing secondary solid features that are sketched and placed
Creating equations and working with parameters
Manipulating the display of the model
Resolving feature failures
Duplicating geometry in the model
Placing and constraining/connecting parts in assemblies
Manipulating the display of components in an assembly
Obtaining model measurements and property information
Creating Presentation files (Exploded views)
Modifying and analyzing the components in an assembly
Simulating motion in an assembly
Creating parts and features in assemblies
Creating and editing an assembly Bill of Materials
Working with projects
Creating and annotating drawings and views
Customizing the Autodesk Inventor environment

Who Should Attend?

Any user wanting to learn the Autodesk Inventor software should attend.

Pre-requisites

It is recommended that delegates are Microsoft Windows proficient
Users do not need to have experience with 3D modeling

Students are to be at the training venue by 08h00 in preparation for a 08h30 start time.
Bookings can only be considered confirmation on receipt of payment.
Bookings may be changed up to three weeks in advance of the course. A fee of 20% will be levied to cover charges.
For full day courses, we will supply you with the relevant training material. A desktop computer to use for the training (where
applicable) tea/coffee and a full lunch for full day InClass training hosted at the training center only. Catering is not included for OnSite training
Cancellation or rescheduling requests must be in writing and reach us at least 5 (five) working days prior to the course commencement date.
Full course fees may be retained for no shows or requests within 5 working days prior to commencement.
Although we go to great lengths to ensure that all training proceeds as scheduled, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone\
dates if we require to do so and undertake to inform clients in writing and telephonically of these changes.
We suggest clients wait until a week prior to course commencement that a course has been confirmed to go ahead as scheduled
before booking flight and accommodation. We are NOT responsible for cost associated with cancellation of classes such as flight
and accommodation for clients.
Full training fees will apply if the above condition is not complied with.
